About this video
Reviewing the Sky Glass Gen 2 TV, the second generation of Sky's 65-inch telly box, fresh for 2025. I've been testing this as my full-time home panel for three months so here's my verdict on the budget-friendly Sky Glass 2, and how it compares vs Gen 1.
This TV is also available in 43 and 55 inch models. In all three cases, you have an upgraded 4K Quantum Dot display with boosted brightness and contrast, so Sky Glass Gen 2 is an instant improvement over the original telly. You can setup the display output using a selection of preset modes and custom controls. You also have a fresh seven-speaker setup, although in many other respects there's not much difference.
Gamers will still be disappointed in the lack of support here. While Sky Glass 2 can happily connect with PS5, Xbox etc, there's no 120Hz 4K support or dedicated gaming mode. Gen 2 also seems to suffer from similar WiFi issues to the original TV.
However, this 2025 telly is still a great value option, with access to a whole heap of services as well as Sky. The Sky Glass Gen 2 will also be joined by Air later in the year, if you're on a strict budget.
