On the surface, Remmick is a Jim Crow vampire out for blood, but his true motivation is much more complex if you look at his ancient history and lore...

DANCE WITH THE DEVIL. Sinners (2025) gave us one of the more clever villains in recent history with Remmick, a vampiric Irish immigrant whose hunger for blood and culture is the perfect counterpart to the protagonists, Smoke and Stack. Both are derived from foreign lands and feel lambasted in America, but while the twins have stayed connected to their home culture through the blues, Remmick is hungry to exploit the power of their music.

Using the hidden articles on the film's official Spotify soundtrack, digging deeper into the music and its meaning and studying the historical time setting -- the parallels between Ryan Coogler's vampires and real historical groups of evil become clear, and we can better understand the true brilliance of Remmick.
