TryHackMe: Simple CTF Walkthrough

In this video, I walk you through the TryHackMe 'Simple CTF' room. We start with an Nmap scan to identify open ports (FTP, HTTP, SSH). Web enumeration reveals a CMS Made Simple instance, which we exploit using a known SQL injection vulnerability (CVE-2019-9053). After cracking credentials, we SSH into the machine, capture the user flag, and escalate privileges by leveraging a sudo permission on vim to gain root access. Finally, we grab the root flag, completing the challenge.
