Movie Plot:
The story follows Madhav Jha, a talented basketball player from Bihar who gets a sports quota admission to St. Stephen's College in Delhi. Despite his lack of fluency in English, he befriends Riya Somani, an upper-class girl who is also admitted on a sports quota. They become close friends, but Riya is hesitant to commit to a full-fledged relationship due to their different social backgrounds.
Riya proposes a compromise, suggesting they be "half girlfriends," which means they can be together without the full commitment of a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. Madhav agrees, but their relationship faces numerous challenges, including misunderstandings and societal pressures.
As the story progresses, Madhav returns to his village and tries to improve the conditions there, while Riya pursues her dreams in the city. The film explores themes of love, ambition, and the struggle to bridge social divides.
