Leprosy Rise in Florida: Should You Be Concerned? 🦠

The CDC recently announced a rise in leprosy cases in Florida. The news has many people wondering if they should be concerned about the bacterial infection, which is now known as Hansen’s Disease. Infectious disease specialist Dr. Amesh Adalja tells Inside Edition Digital, “it's a disease that has a very long history going back to the Bible. And because of that has a lot of stigma and mystery associated with it that largely is unwarranted.”
