Bridge in China Collapses Suddenly 😱

A newly opened bridge in Sichuan, in China’s southwest, has partially collapsed, sending up a massive dust cloud.

Authorities had closed the 758‑metre (2,486 ft) Hongqi Bridge on Monday after cracks appeared on nearby slopes and road surfaces.

Officials said conditions on the mountainside worsened on Tuesday afternoon, with landslides triggering the failure of part of the structure.

There have been no reports of injuries.
