PEER PRESSURE: I'M FAR TOO SENSITIVE. Scream (1996) introduced one of the most theatrical killers in horror history with Stu Macher, a chaotic teenager whose hunger for a "Christmas-like" atmosphere of fear was the perfect counterpart to his partner, Billy Loomis. On the surface, Stu is just a charismatic high schooler at 261 Turner Lane, but his true motivation is much more complex if you look at his fragile ego and the psychology of co-offending.

Using the original scripts' "Cult of Ghostface" theories, digging deeper into the digital resurrections of Scream 7, and studying the historical parallels to real-life killers like Leopold and Loeb, we can better understand the true horror of this character.
