Sabrina Carpenter and Lana Del Rey hate men…Kind of. They’re what Asa Seresin termed “Hetero-Pessimists,” aka straight people who are embarrassed or regretful about being straight. In this video, I unpack their lyrics, contextualize them against straight culture, and attempt to solve the centuries long issue of hetero misery.
