Russia reveals DPRK troops training for frontline combat

Russia’s Defense Ministry has released footage of DPRK soldiers undergoing combat training.<br /><br />The announcement came as President Vladimir Putin thanked the DPRK military for what he called their “active role” in recapturing parts of Russia’s Kursk region.<br /><br />On Sunday, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un confirmed he had sent troops to Russia’s border area under the countries' new defense pact.<br /><br />Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow would also provide military assistance to Pyongyang “if necessary.”<br /><br />Until now, both Moscow and Pyongyang had denied that DPRK forces were fighting alongside Russian troops.<br /><br />#Russia #DPRK #NorthKorea #Ukraine #Kursk #Putin<br />
