The Russian President, Boris Yeltsin, met US Vice-President Al Gore on Tuesday (16/7), at a sanatorium outside Moscow. Yeltsin had postponed the planned meeting on Monday, giving rise to further speculation about his health. Presidential aides said the 65-year-old Yeltsin was merely taking a two-week holiday at the government-run health resort at
Barvikha.
