"It's amazing. It's, fantastic experience always. But it's not getting better, to be honest, because, I'm always so excited when I'm here because it's is such a huge audience and you know, that we work for three years on that movie, and that was the moment that we presented to the people. And my heart is beating. Yes."

"I mean, like, I always feel a pressure. Kind of, because I, as an actress, I try to be as authentic as I can. So there's always the pressure of portraying humanity. So. And especially when it's about someone who exists, for sure. And especially this story."

"Yes. On on one hand, on the other hand, you have to be in a way precise about the historical facts, of course. But on the other hand, other hand, it's a movie. And, so you have to do things for the audience as well. So it's a kind of mixture is what I would say. And but of course, it's based on true facts."

STORYLINE:
German director Andreas Dresen presented his movie "From Hilde, With Love" in Berlin Saturday (17 February 2024)

The movie tells the real life story of Hilde and Hans Coppi, a young married couple arrested and executed for treason by the Gestapo in wartime Berlin.

Liv Lisa Fries, who plays Hilde said there is always an added pressure playing a real life person:

"I mean, like, I always feel a pressure. Kind of, because I, as an actress, I try to be as authentic as I can. So there's always the pressure of portraying humanity. So. And especially when it's about someone who exists, for sure. And especially this story," she said.

The Berlin International Film Festival runs til 24 February.
