Crowds of men wave their pith helmets. There are various shots of them marching along the dockside, and up the gang plank of a ship, many wearing white pith helmets. They carry kit bags. There are officers saying good-bye to members of their families. One man holds a baby. The crowds on the dock wave to the mass of troops on the ship as it moves off and away down the harbour.
