RMT says strike aims to push TfL towards progress on pay

London Underground workers have launched a week of strike action, causing major disruption across the network. RMT London Transport organiser Jared Wood said the union is not demanding a 32-hour, four-day week immediately but wants “a change in direction and progress”. He said workers have delivered “massive success” with passenger numbers back to pre-Covid levels despite 2,000 fewer staff. Report by Covellm.
