Reno's Secret Underground Homeless Community

I have been on a mission to find secret and hidden homeless communities across the United States, and this time I discovered some I never even knew existed right here in Reno. I decided to explore Reno’s underground homeless scene, following train tracks and remote areas where people are living far away from society just to survive.

During this journey, I learned something shocking. It is technically illegal to be homeless in the city of Reno. The city council passed a law making it illegal to camp in public spaces, forcing people out of visible areas. But the big question is, is it actually effective?

In the winter, shelters often reach full capacity, leaving many with nowhere to go. So where do people sleep? How do they survive freezing nights? And what happens when there are no resources left?

This video dives deep into the hidden side of homelessness in Reno, exposing the reality many never see.
