Redfin reveals shocking truth about 2025 Housing Market (buyers gone)

Redfin just revealed a post-rate-cut downturn in home buyer demand, shocking everyone in the housing market. For the first time in 3 months, pending sales dropped on a year-over-year basis according to Redfin's data, due to high home prices and mortgage rates that are still elevated. Meanwhile, data from the NAR, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, shows that home sales in August 2025 fell from their previous month, and were at their lowest level for August on record in the data set. That suggests a major homebuyer boycott going on in the U.S. Housing Market, one that won't be cured by a couple of rate cuts.
