Real-Time Tutorial: Shading a Dog Nose with Charcoal

This video is to show how I shade a dog nose when working with charcoal. I can do a separate video for drawing nose outlines if people should request this. I go through all the steps in real time...no sped up footage in this video..showing all of the layers and how I approach them to get to the final result. My charcoal style is a bit more loose than my acrylic style and i do enjoy being able to dabble in more styles these days.
I filmed the making of this nose whilst working on a commissioned portrait so you will see the rest of the dog having progressed between clips.
