Real-Time Foreground-Background Segmentation with Codebook Model 🚀

The lecture introduces a background subtraction algorithm using a codebook.
The algorithm is from the paper entitled “Real-time Foreground-Background Segmentation Using Codebook Model" and published in Real-Time Imaging 2005.
Outline of this lecture:
(1) Introduction about the idea of the proposed algorithm
(2) Codebook definition about what the codebook is and its ingredients
(3) Codebook construction about the process to construct a codebook for representing the background scene
(4) Subtraction process about the way to subtract the background from the observed image using the constructed codebook.
