आरसीपी सिंह का नीतीश से रिश्ते बीजेपी के चलते ही खराब हुए थे. वह नीतीश के नहीं चाहते हुए भी मोदी कैबिनेट का हिस्सा बन गए थे, जिसके चलते ही उन्हें जेडीयू छोड़ना पड़ा था. नीतीश से अलग होने के बाद आरसीपी बीजेपी में भी शामिल हो गए, लेकिन जल्द ही पार्टी छोड़नी पड़ गई.
RCP Singh's relations with Nitish had deteriorated because of BJP. He became a part of the Modi cabinet even against Nitish's wish, due to which he had to leave JDU. After separation from Nitish, RCP also joined BJP, but soon had to leave the party.
