Rathnam (2024) | Tamil Action Drama | Hindi Dubbed Movie

2024 Indian Tamil-language action drama film by Hari s. with vishal in the lead role Rathnam, a henchman for MLA Panneer Selvam, who becomes Malliga as his saviour, a medical student who is the spitting image of his deceased mother forms rest of the film. As Beema and his brothers start trying to capture the piece of land of Malliga, Rathnam rear up for their defense.<br /><br />The story is peppered with high-octane action sequences and a tale of revenge as Rathnam takes on the baddies while coming to terms with his own traumatic past. It deals with issues of justice and security, but in a melodramatic way laced with the usual violence and splendid words associated with Hari's filmmaking. Although a fast-paced narrative, critics feel the story is superficial and at times illogical spending more time staging scenes than developing characters.<br /><br />Rathnam which has Priya Bhavani Shankar as Malliga and Samuthirakani as MLA Panneer Selvam, has a 156 minute runtime. The movie recieved mixed reviews with many appreciating Vishal's performance on one hand while the other side is criticising about 90's plot and many outdated elements of it.
