Rare Astronomical Events in September 2025 🌌

Get ready for some awesome sky shows this month. On September 21, 2025, there’s going to be a partial solar eclipse. If you’re in New Zealand or near Antarctica, you might see up to 85% of the sun covered by the moon — just make sure to wear eclipse glasses! Then on September 22, we hit the September equinox, when day and night are almost the same length everywhere.

A couple of days later, on September 24, look up after sunset to spot the thin crescent moon hanging near Mars. And on September 27, even though the Daytime Sextantids meteor shower peaks in daylight, you might still catch a few bright meteors at night. The sky is putting on a show, so don’t miss it!
