Raman Savithiri - Granny’s Call 🚣‍♀️

Sudha’s Grandma sent word <br />To Dhamayanthi to send <br />Little Sudha to attend <br />Chores at her end. <br /> <br />Granny’s home was <br />Six kilometers away. <br />Sudha would go by <br />Boat, feeding her eye <br />With blissful blue sky. <br /> <br />Her mind would dance <br />With waves’ merry glance. <br />She would enter a trance <br />Singing devotional songs <br /> <br />One fine day when <br />Sudha asked for boat fare <br />Dhamayanthi showed no care. <br />But asked ‘Who you are? <br />A college student to ask for <br />Boat fare! …walk hereafter.’ <br /> <br />Sudha was not upset! <br />She thought mother might be right. <br />She never felt bore, <br />While walking by shore, <br />Singing from heart core <br />To attend Granny’s chore. <br /> <br />As she walks all alone <br />Noticed by no one, <br />She would call out, <br />‘Krishna!
