About this video

Can AI Keep Us Safe Online? My AI Moderation Agent Capstone Project (Gen AI 2025Q1) The internet is flooded with content – videos, images, comments, audio. How can platforms keep up with moderating it all for safety? Manual moderation can't scale, and simple filters miss too much, especially tricky AI-generated content and multimodal harm (like text on images). For my Gen AI Capstone project, I designed and simulated an AI Multimodal Content Moderation Agent to tackle this challenge. What is it? An AI system designed to understand and moderate online content across different formats (text, image, audio) much like a human analyst, but at machine speed and scale. Why is it important? Online safety is critical. Harmful content (hate speech, misinformation, violence, deepfakes) erodes trust, causes real-world harm, and puts platforms under immense legal pressure (like the EU's DSA). Current methods are struggling. How does it work (Core Functionalities)? (Check out the video for a demo using my Kaggle Notebook!) Multimodal Analysis: Uses AI models (like BERT for text, CLIP for images, Whisper for audio) to analyze different content types. Policy-Aware RAG: Consults platform policy documents (using embeddings & vector search via FAISS) to make context-aware decisions, just like a human moderator would check the rules. Agent Logic: Combines signals from all analyses and policy checks to calculate a violation score. Simulated Actions: Based on the score, it simulates taking action – approving safe content, deleting harmful content, or flagging borderline cases for human review. How is it helpful & useful in the real world? This kind of AI agent could help platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, etc., to: Moderate content much faster and at a massive scale. Detect complex violations across text, images, and audio. Improve consistency and fairness by grounding decisions in policy. Reduce moderator burnout and operational costs. Better comply with content regulations. Create safer online environments for users. This project simulates the core logic, demonstrating the potential of advanced AI like multimodal understanding and RAG for the future of online trust and safety. #AIModeration #GenAI #ArtificialIntelligence #ContentModeration #TrustAndSafety #MultimodalAI #RAG #ResponsibleAI #AICapstone #TechForGood
