About this video
Recorded 26 July 2022. Fang Song of Portland State University presents "Introduction to quantum computing I" at IPAM's Graduate Summer School Post-quantum and Quantum Cryptography.
Abstract: This lecture will introduce the basic formalism of quantum information (e.g., qubit, unitary operation, and measurement) and properties (e.g., superposition, entanglement, no-cloning). Then we will introduce the quantum circuit model, and study basic quantum information processing protocols (e.g., teleportation) and elementary quantum algorithms (e.g., Deutsch-Josza).
Suggested reading: Watrous qc notes 1 - 4; Childs note Chapter 1.
