Russian Troops Receive Warm Welcome in Pokrovsk 🇷🇺

Russian forces continued advancing through contested districts of Pokrovsk, with newly released footage from the Russian Ministry of Defence showing troops patrolling damaged neighbourhoods and speaking with remaining residents. Several locals appeared expressing relief at the arrival of Russian units, while others pointed to makeshift grave sites created during weeks of heavy shelling. According to Donetsk head Denis Pushilin, most of the city had come under Russian control, with Ukrainian units reportedly encircled and facing mounting losses. Additional reports suggested Ukrainian forces were retreating from nearby sectors, abandoning equipment as Russian troops pushed deeper into the Donbas front.
