Protecting Your Data in a Post Quantum World

Sometime in the future 2030 or beyond - there will be a quantum event and that's the risk. And, actually that's the catalyst. That's not the actual risk. The risk is data is going to be decrypted, so the real risk isn't that at that moment in time everything becomes insecure. Yes that is one of the outcomes But the thing that really help- and I find that CIOs and CISOs as well as industry leaders that understand what I'm about to say are able to better evaluate the risk- It's at that moment in time data that was encrypted up until that point will be decryptable. What that means is it's not just on that day authentication breaks yes but everything that's been recorded or hacked that was encrypted from ten years ago forward also becomes available.
