About this video
President Donald Trump has criticised the UK’s initial response to US-Israeli strikes on Iran, saying ‘this is not Winston Churchill we’re dealing with.’ He says he’s not happy with the UK and tells reporters at the White House “everything’s been knocked out in Iran.”
Today, the UK government confirmed it will deploy HMS Dragon and helicopters with counter-drone capabilities to protect Cyprus after attacks on a British base. It comes as Israel says it has carried out new attacks on Iran’s “leadership compound”, whilst Iran continues to target energy sites in the region.
At the same time, the UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves insists her economic plan is working in an 'uncertain' world as the UK growth forecast was lowered for 2026.
Adam Fleming is joined by the BBC's Political Editor Chris Mason, Deputy Economic Editor Dharshini David and Panorama film-maker Jane Corbin.
