Pixel 10 Pro XL Review, Five Months Later | Save Money, Go 9 Pro XL?

Reviewing Google's Pixel 10 Pro XL smartphone in 2026, comparing the camera tech, gaming performance, battery life etc vs big rivals. OPPO's Find X9 Pro and Honor's Magic 8 Pro are just two of the Pixel 10 Pro XL's big competitors and they do Android a lot better in many respects. The camera experience is as good - in some cases better - while those Chinese phones have Google beat in most other departments.

First up, yes, those specs will look familiar if you own last year's supersized smartphone. The camera setup is essentially identical on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, with some AI smart-arsery like Pro Res Zoom chucked on top. Thankfully, Google's flagship phone spaffs out gorgeous photos on demand, to take on the Find X9 Pro and Magic 8 Pro. It's not quite as hot for video, but still solid.

Gaming performance is sadly no better with the Tensor G5 on board. In fact, the Pixel 10 Pro XL judders its way through Wuthering Waves if you touch the graphics settings. Likewise, Genshin Impact's frame rate slumps at times if you max out those visuals.

Battery life is fine, but again the Pixel 10 Pro XL stumbles vs some rivals in this area. And I've also seen quite a bit of buggy behaviour from Android on here, even in 2026.
