The biggest upgrade comes from the new Tensor G5 chip — it runs cooler, more efficiently, and eliminates the overheating issues the Pixel 9 Pro XL struggled with. Even during heavy use or wireless Android Auto, the phone stays cool and performs smoothly. The 5,200mAh battery delivers solid all-day performance, and combined with faster 25W wireless charging and Qi 2 support, it’s easily one of the most convenient Pixels to live with. Plus, the new PixelSnap magnets bring MagSafe-style compatibility, which opens the door to a whole ecosystem of magnetic accessories.

The display now peaks at 3,300 nits, making it incredibly bright and easy to see even under direct sunlight. The haptics are more refined than ever, and the speakers are so improved that I actually prefer watching videos and listening to music without a Bluetooth speaker. I also love the Moonstone color option and how cohesive it looks with the matching Pixel Watch. On the camera side, Google stuck with the same hardware but introduced smarter AI-powered processing. The new 100x ProRes Zoom uses generative AI to rebuild fine details, producing surprisingly clear results even from far away — though I found the 10x–20x range to be the sweet spot for everyday shots. Video stabilization has also seen improvements, especially at higher zoom levels.

Overall, the Pixel 10 Pro XL delivers meaningful upgrades where it matters most — better performance, cooler thermals, faster charging, brighter display, and that new PixelSnap feature. It’s not a huge redesign, but it’s easily one of the smoothest and most enjoyable Pixel experiences yet.
