Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) for Oxbridge | A&J Education

PAT, also known as the Physics Aptitude Test is a test that all applicants for Engineering, Materials Science and Physics at Oxford have to take. It is a test that is meant to assess the applicant's abilities in the fields of Math and Physics, the entire exam lasts 2 hours.

Even though the test is designed for applicants who studied first year A-levels (or equivalent) the question style is nothing like A-levels. The questions are designed to cover a wide range of topics and require critical thinking. It is not designed to achieve full marks, there is not a clear cut-off score but applicants who have scored around 75% are considered competitive and usually invited for an interview. With that said a lower score does not disqualify you from an interview.

Sunny did his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Oxford University. Sunny was also a 2019 Fellow at Harvard University.
