About this video

Philippines, Vietnam hold joint coast guard exercises

The coast guards of the Philippines and Vietnam, both claimants in a portion of the South China Sea, complete their first-ever joint exercises in Manila Bay on Aug. 9, 2024. Vietnam's 90-meter ship CSB 8002, which arrived at the port of Manila on August 5, and the Philippines' 83-metre offshore patrol vessel, BRP Gabriela Silang, simultaneously used water cannons at a smaller vessel to simulate a firefighting activity.
