Pembrokeshire Council Advances Controversial Brynhir Housing Project in Tenby 🏘️

Pembrokeshire County Council has stated that it is entering the next stage of the Brynhir Housing Development for Tenby.<br />It is now expected that only 102 council houses will be built within the development of 135 in total.<br />“We have now reached the stage of inviting tender from contractors to begin the construction phase,” said a spokesperson for PCC’s housing services.<br />“Those on the applicable framework have all been contacted directly. <br />“Once the contract has been awarded, planning works will be carried out in preparation for initial groundworks to start on site in early 2025.”<br />The Brynhir Development is expected to be completed in 2027 with the option of a phased handover of properties being considered.<br />County Councillor for Tenby’s North ward, Cllr Michael Williams recently stated on the scheme: “The new timescale does show a later commencement that initially hoped for, but I stressed the importance of getting it right, as this is an iconic site, and when you understand what has been lost from the landscape, it deserves special care and consideration.”<br />If you have any questions about this, or any other development, please contact the Housing Development Team via devclo@pembrokeshire.gov.uk or 01434 764551.<br />
