PBKS vs RR IPL 2025: Jofra Archer Leads Rajasthan Royals to Dominant 50-Run Win 🏏

Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 50 runs in IPL 2025 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh on April 05. Batting first, Yashasvi Jaiswal (67) and Sanju Samson (38) gave Rajasthan Royals a good start. They combined to give Rajasthan Royals a steady platform and batted deep in the innings stitching a partnership. After Sanju Samson was dismissed, the Royals suffered a slight slump as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana (12) followed him. It was then Riyan Parag (43*) who took control of the innings. Although he got a life through a catch drop along with Shimron Hetmyer (20) and Dhruv Jurel (13*), Parag powered Rajasthan Royals to a strong total of 205/4. Defending it, Jofra Archer (3/25) started brilliantly as he removed Priyansh Arya (0) and Shreyas Iyer (10) in the first over. Prabhsimran Singh and Marcus Stoinis also lost their wickets quickly. Nehal Wadhera (62) and Glenn Maxwell (30) kept the hopes alive for the Kings but after their dismissal, their innings ended at 155/9. This was Punjab Kings' first defeat of the season and second win of the season for Rajasthan Royals.
