Imran Khan & Wife Bushra Bibi Sentenced in Toshakhana Case 🇵🇰

A special Pakistan court on December 20 sentenced former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, to 17 years in prison each in the Toshakhana-2 corruption case. The case pertains to the purchase of an expensive jewellery set, gifted to Khan by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during an official visit in May 2021, at a throwaway price. During the proceedings, the prosecution contended that the PTI founder retained the jewellery set, valued at approximately $285,000, after paying only about $10,000. Khan has been imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala jail since August 2023 in corruption and anti-terrorism cases.
