PAHO Concludes Key Phase in Neonatal Deaths Investigation at Port of Spain Hospital 🏥

The Health Ministry says that the PAHO team investigating the cause of the neonatal deaths at the Port of Spain General Hospital met with senior officials of the Ministry and the North West Regional Health Authority to conduct a debriefing exercise arising from the in-country mission, which ended Friday.<br /><br />However, the Ministry says that the PAHO review will continue.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the Opposition Leader told the Parliament on Friday that she has been told the total number of neonatal deaths at Port of Spain General has risen to 21.<br /><br />Juhel Browne reports.
