Two More Trig Identities - K Stroud Engineering Maths Book

In this video we cover two more fundamental trig identities to add to the one we learnt in the last video; sin2 𝜃 + cos2 𝜃 = 1 Two more identities can be derived from the above identity: 1 + tan2 𝜃 = sec2 𝜃 1 + cot2 𝜃 = csc2 𝜃 The significance of an identity is that, in calculation, we may replace either member with the other. We use an identity to give an expression a more convenient form. In calculus and all its applications, the trigonometric identities are of central importance.
