OSCARS HIGHLIGHTS: Jessie Buckley, Michael B Jordan win big at 2026 Oscars

The 2026 Oscars is already a great night for several films, as the winners are announced. In a rare moment, two films took home the Oscar for best live action short. This has only happened six times before.

Kicking off the show, Amy Madigan won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Weapons. This was the first Oscar for the star, who is aged 75. The actress played Aunt Gladys in the horror film.

Meanwhile Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor, but chose not to show up to the awards. This was his third Oscar, and last year's winner, Kieran Culkin, accepted the award on his behalf.
