The best option is to spend a few days in both destinations, but it’s hard to see everything in Japan in one trip and if you're only coming for a week and can only visit one, here are some things to consider:

🍡 Osaka
•The second largest city in Japan.
•Perfect for foodies.
•Home to Universal Studios, which is awesome.
•Less crowded and cheaper than Kyoto.
•If you’re spending time in Tokyo, the busy city vibes are a little similar, so you might want to consider Kyoto.

🏯 Kyoto
•More traditional than Osaka.
•Slower pace than the hustle and bustle of the city.
•Some say it’s boring because it’s mostly temples, but there are many hidden gems and gardens to explore.
•What we loved most was the nature.

❗Kyoto and Osaka are only an hour away, so you can always go from one city to the other for a day trip if needed.
