Operation Octopus 2.0 | Raids On PFI In 8 States Based On Central Agencies Intel | Englis News

As per the latest news, Several leaders of PFI were detained in fresh raids across eight states. State police, ATS, and NIA conducting fresh raids across India. These raids are being taken out by the state police based on intelligence input from central agencies. Around 21 workers of the outfit were detained. NIA and ED have also launched a joint operation and are continuously conducting raids all across the country. Most of the NIA raids on Tuesday morning took place in Assam and Uttar Pradesh (UP) although, several other states were also involved. Seven PFI leaders are arrested and are in custody in Karnataka, and eight PFI leaders in Assam. After an intelligence note claimed that PFI was planning to attack government agencies, BJP and RSS leaders, and their organizations, new searches were conducted. The main aim of the raids is to investigate the terror funding sources and unearth the money laundering activities.
