OnePlus Nord 5 Review: Is It Still the Top? 📱

Reviewing the OnePlus Nord 5, a mid-range phone that changes many things about the Nord 4 - and not always for the best. Here's my verdict after a week of testing the camera, gaming, battery life and more!

As usual, I slipped my SIM into the Nord 5 to use it as my full-time smartphone. First, the camera tech has been upgraded on the hardware and software side. I found most of my test photos had a flagship-style shine, with natural looking contrast and realistic colours (mostly).

Performance on the OnePlus Nord 5 may rest on a slightly older chipset (the SD 8s Gen 3), but gaming on the likes of Wuthering Waves is still a smooth experience. Unfortunately games like WW do wipe the battery quick, but otherwise the battery life is excellent. Just don't expect it to match the Poco F7 or some other recent rivals.

The OnePlus Nord 5 still offers a smooth and slick OxygenOS experience. You've got that fresh Plus Key, which can be customised - to some degree - unlike the old Alert Slider. But is that enough to elevate it above other best mid-range phones of 2025? Let us know your thoughts on the Nord 5 below!
