OnePlus 15R Review: Key Differences from 15

Reviewing the OnePlus 15R, a mid-range smartphone alternative to the 15 flagship, costing from £649 in the UK. I've had my SIM inside of the OnePlus 15R all week, testing the camera performance, gaming abilities, battery life and beyond. So is it one of the best mid-phones for 2026?

You've got the same main camera here as the OP15, from the sensor tech to the in-house image processing smarts. It's still limited in softer light, but at the OnePlus 15R price point, that's easier to take. It's a shame there's no telephoto zoom, of course, which some rivals do offer.

Gamers are once again a big focus for this smartphone. You've got that slick OxygenOS gaming mode, plus the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a beefcake. Wuthering Waves ran well on the highest graphics settings on the OnePlus 15R, with only the occasional stumble when things got crazy.

You can enjoy up to six hours of gaming on those massive open-world mobile titles before this phone keels over. And the OnePlus 15R can survive a full weekend no worries, thanks to the enormous battery tech.
