The okapi has stripes like a zebra but is the closest living relative of the giraffe. the okapi is native to the dense forests of central Africa. okapis have a long tongue that uses to strip leaves high up in trees and also clean their ears. The okapi can be found at any zoo in country except for Canada. The okapis are left in the wild due to poaching, habitat destruction, habitat loss and killing. The okapi is now rare.
