About Jagathy Sreekumar:
Sreekumar Achary, popularly known as Jagathy Sreekumar, is a legendary figure in Malayalam cinema. Born on January 5, 1951, he has acted in over 1,500 Malayalam films, making him one of the most prolific and beloved comedians in Indian film history. With a career spanning nearly four decades, Jagathy is renowned not just for his impeccable comic timing, but also for his versatile character roles.

He is the son of celebrated playwright Jagathy N. K. Achary and has received five Kerala State Film Awards for his remarkable performances. Apart from acting, he has also directed two films and written screenplays for two others. The name "Jagathy" comes from the neighborhood in Thiruvananthapuram where he was raised.

In March 2012, a major accident paused his career, but his legendary status remained untouched. In 2022, he made a heartfelt return in CBI 5: The Brain, reprising his iconic role as CID Vikram.
