Nitish Kumar Sworn in as Bihar CM for Record Ninth Term, Joins BJP-Led NDA 🚩

On January 28, Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the ninth time. This comes after Kumar dumped the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and joined the BJP-led NDA. PM Narendra Modi congratulated Nitish Kumar on X. PM Modi said, “I congratulate Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister and Samrat Chaudhary ji and Vijay Sinha ji on taking oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.” This is the fifth time in a decade that Nitish Kumar has changed camp.
