Nissan Shuts Down Datsun Brand in India: Which Car Brands Are Exiting the Market? 🚗

Recently, Nissan, the Japanese automaker, said it is discontinuing the Datsun brand in India. This comes nine years after the company kicked off the global relaunch in the country, reported PTI. In 2020, Nissan had discontinued the brand in Russia and Indonesia. Meanwhile, Opposition leader in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted the list of automobile companies which have quit India due to “sleaze of business & fall in incomes.” Kharge said, Nissan, Ford, General Motors, Fiat, United Motors, Premier Automobiles, Harley Davidson have one after the other left India.
