Nightcrawler: Unveiling Cinema's Most Chilling Psychopath 🎥

How do you depict a psychopathic character in a film? Is it just about the acting, or is there more to it that is actually 'cinematic'? In fact, what even is a psychopath? Is that a real thing? (hint - in terms of diagnosis, no it's not.)

Louis Bloom from Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler (2014) is one of my favourite films when it comes to effectively portraying a bone-chilling psychopathic (or sociopathic if you want to be precise) character using not just the actor's ability, but various cinematic tricks, including camera work, score, and the script itself.

Considering how this video was meant to be an all-in-one video at first, discussing Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men as well as Homelander from the popular series The Boys, you can see how special Nightcrawler's Lou was that it ended up becoming its own video.

Now, a disclaimer - I DO go over the term, 'psychopath', and how unfitting it may be to describe the character in my video, so please do not take it wrong when I say 'psychopath'. It is only for the sake of simplicity, and especially since most people have a general grasp of what that term implies (even compared to sociopathy).
