ISLAMABAD: Another commendable initiative of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government as Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to announce the national policy on poverty alleviation on November 25. <br /><br />According to details, the concerned authorities have started preparation on emergency basis as PM Khan is due to announce the measures to curb poverty after three days.<br /><br />The poverty reduction models of Malaysia and China will be considered while drafting a policy for Pakistan, sources said.<br /><br />The awaited policy will be first implemented in under privileged areas of the country and the stipend under Benazir Income Support Program is also likely to be increased, sources added.<br /><br />In its first 100 days of governance, PTI government has taken a number of steps, wherein few notable measures include austerity drive, 5-year plan for polio eradication, plantation and cleanliness campaigns, clean and green Pakistan and ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’.
