Kenya Introduces New Vehicle Number Plates 🚗

The Kenya Revenue Authority has introduced new registration numbers for motor cycles, tractors and heavy duty vehicles. The new number plates will come into effect on the 1st of May, 2009. This will provide distinct registration numbers from that of new motor vehicles. The registrar of motor vehicles Simeon ole Kirgotty says the introduction of the new numbering system follows numerous complaints from car dealers who have been finding it difficult to dispose their old stocks owing to the fast movement of registration plates.
