Lexus NX 350h 2022 UK Review: Top Value Premium SUV 🚘

The all-new NX is hybrid-only and packs a hefty amount of safety kit included as standard. Here's why the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC should be worried.

Let's start off with the hybrid side of things. The NX 350h packs the same 2.5-litre petrol engine as the more expensive 450h+, though the 350 is a 'self-charging' hybrid. That means the battery is topped up on the go, but you'd don't get the same 45-mile EV range that's offered on the plug-in hybrid 450h+. Still, it's enough to offer up a claimed 47mpg and give you short bursts of electric performance. Couple that with a starting figure south of £40,000 and a bunch of semi-autonomous driver tech included as standard and the NX 350h sets itself up as a serious rival to the German establishment.
