নাটকটির গল্প ভোরের ঢাকা ও আশপাশের ফ্যাক্টরিগুলোতে ছুটে চলে মেয়েরা, যারা শহরের নয়, অথচ শহর আর বিদেশিদের পোশাক তৈরি করে চলেছে। এদেরই মাঝে সুবর্ণপুর গ্রামের মেয়ে খুশবু, মাদ্রাসা থেকে আলেম পাশ করা, দরিদ্র কিন্তু সম্মানী পরিবারে বেড়ে ওঠা। এক দুর্ঘটনায় ঢাকাই চলচ্চিত্রের নায়িকা তিতলি মির্জাকে বাঁচিয়ে তার জীবনে জড়িয়ে পড়ে খুশবু। আর তিতলির গোপন সত্য উন্মোচিত হয়—সে প্রযোজক শাকিলের স্ত্রী ও একটি সন্তানের মা, যা শাকিল গোপন রাখতে চায়। এ গোপন আড়াল করতে গিয়ে তিতলির জীবন হঠাৎ অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়, আর দায় চাপানো হয় খুশবুর ঘাড়ে।
হঠাৎ করেই অভিযুক্ত, অনাথ শিশুর অভিভাবক, পরিবারহারা এক তরুণী হয়ে ওঠে খুশবু। একদিকে বাঁচতে হবে শাকিলের হাত থেকে, অন্যদিকে খুঁজতে হবে ভালোবাসা, সম্মান আর নিজের পরিবারকে।
