The lower grille, meanwhile, accentuates its robustness, and the bumper design also contributes to this rugged appearance.

The Yaris Cross's side profile expresses its modern and dynamic style. Highlights include the silver roof rails, body-colored door handles, and the black plastic trim that runs the length of the side to the rear, integrating with the fenders and accentuating its SUV character. At the rear, the full-LED taillights lend a modern and sophisticated look, complemented by the upper spoiler.

The Yaris Cross features an instrument panel with a 7-inch TFT display, This multifunction display provides key driver information, such as fuel consumption, range, and other data, all presented clearly and precisely. On the left, the revolutions per minute (RPM) and the hybrid system indicator are displayed. The speedometer is prominently featured on the right.

The climate control panel features a modern, easy-to-read design, with physical controls and a digital display that clearly shows the selected temperature and active functions.

The Yaris Cross offers two engine options. The gasoline versionfeatures a 1.5L Dual VVT-i engine, a 4-cylinder in-line, 16-valve DOHC, Otto cycle engine with a timing chain. This engine delivers 106 hp and 138 Nm of torque and features indirect fuel injection. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission with a Split Drive Gear System, enabling smooth, seamless, and quiet driving. It also includes paddle shifters and "Eco" and "Power" driving modes , which adjust the throttle response to prioritize efficiency or a more dynamic driving experience.

The hybrid powertrain incorporates a self-charging system comprised of two engines: a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC Atkinson cycle gasoline engine with timing chain and VVT-i system; and an electric motor that work together to generate a total combined output of 111 hp. The electric motor is powered by a 4.3 Ah lithium-ion battery that recharges automatically during deceleration or braking, without needing to be plugged into an external power source.

This engine is paired with an electronically controlled, continuously variable transmission (e-CVT) that offers an optimal balance between agility and fuel efficiency
